Job Title: Retail Sales Associate

Position:  Full Time/Part Time - WEEKENDS ARE A MUST

POSITION OVERVIEW/ ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Provides quick and efficient service in a retail store setting. Perform various tasks including, but not limited to:
• Operating cash register in retail store to process payments. 
• Waiting on/ assisting retail store customers, answering customer questions in person and via telephone. 
• Helping customers carry purchases out to their vehicle. Loading customers from the loading dock with products from the warehouse using hand trucks. *
• Cleaning and re-stocking shelves in retail store.
• Pricing merchandise and bagging feed. Assembling merchandise or displays when necessary. 
• Sweeping, cleaning.
• Receiving product upon delivery.
• Unloading delivery trailers and lifting/stacking bags of feed etc. into the warehouse. *
• Loading and unloading hay and sweeping trailers when necessary. *
• Operating a forklift to load and unload materials (if licensed).
• Watering and working with flowers, trees and shrubs. Other duties as assigned. 
• Assist customer in filling propane tanks
• Loading retail customers with mulch & stone if has 2A/1C License

OTHER DUTIES

Assist with and perform on site duties as necessary, adhere to all policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook, including all safety policies and rules and regulations, and perform other additional duties as requested by management.

EDUCATION

High School Diploma or GED. 

EXPERIENCE

General landscape and pet knowledge

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS

Individual must be a positive team player, and must be able to communicate effectively and in a professional manner with co-workers, customers, and management. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must have a clean drug screen and be willing to comply with our Drug/Alcohol Policy. 

Must have dexterity and strength in hands and wrists and be able to hold and maneuver tools and equipment. Must have the ability to reach upwards and outward with arms and hands. Must be able to bend, stand and sit for extended periods of time. Position requires independently lifting, loading and unloading of tools or equipment up to 50 lbs.  Individual must be able to step up and into, and down/out of heavy equipment vehicles, and trucks to operate, inspect or conduct repairs on said vehicles.
