Sales Development Intern
Based in Cranston, Rhode Island, Met-Cap Management, LLC is the heartbeat to a variety of owned and operated businesses. From a chain of successful, multi-branded retail stores, to two bi-coastal B2B and D2C global distribution and fulfillment centers, to the creation and go-to-market strategies for a host of proprietary brands, and property management.
Internship Overview:
The Sales Development Intern plays a hands-on role in growing our business by supporting Metro Distributors’ wholesale business strategy. You’ll work directly with our Sales and Business Development team to identify leads, nurture existing relationships, and support the division’s efforts.
Key Functions:
- Research and identify potential retail partners.
- Conduct outreach calls to dormant or low-volume clients to uncover reactivation opportunities and upselling potential.
- Build and manage lead lists using CRM and prospecting tools.
- Draft outreach emails to engage prospects.
- Support inbound and outbound sales initiatives.
- Work with sales team to support nurturing strong relationships with existing wholesale partners.
- Assist in the preparation of sales materials, product decks, and presentations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing and Operations.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Currently pursuing degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- Strong interest in sales, marketing, or business development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Proficient using Microsoft Office tools, and CRM platforms.
- A team player who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
