Grocery Store Manager Assistant

Job Title: Store Manager Assistant

About Us: At Fresh Internation Pittsburgh, we are proud to bring fresh, high-quality Asian groceries, produce, and specialty products to our community. We are looking for a dedicated and energetic Store Manager Assistant to help support daily operations and manage our store’s social media presence. 

Responsibilities:  Support the Store Manager with day-to-day store operations, including opening and closing procedures.  Supervise and guide store associates to ensure excellent customer service and efficient store performance.  Help manage inventory: oversee ordering dry and freezing goods and managing cosmetic department  Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and visual merchandising standards.  Address customer concerns promptly and professionally to ensure customer satisfaction.  Monitor product quality, freshness, and shelf life, especially in fresh food sections.  Assist with creating employee schedules and ensuring proper staffing.  Support store promotions, holiday events, and special sales activities.  Ensure compliance with store policies, food safety, and health regulations.  Assist with daily cash handling, deposit preparation, and basic financial reporting.  Manage and update the store’s social media accounts (e.g., Facebook, Instagram): o Create posts for promotions, events, and new product launches. o Engage with customers online through comments, messages, and reviews. o Capture in-store photos and videos for content creation.  Assist Corporate HR with hiring and onboarding processes: o Help schedule interviews and screen candidates. o Collect and verify new hire paperwork. o Assist with training new staff on store operations and policies.  Assist Corporate Accounting with payroll-related tasks: o Gather and review employee timesheets and attendance logs. o Help resolve minor payroll issues and submit required documents on time. 

Qualifications:  Retail, grocery, or supermarket experience preferred.  Strong leadership, multitasking, and communication skills.  Familiarity with Asian grocery products and cultural practices.  Basic understanding of HR procedures (hiring, onboarding) and payroll handling.  Experience managing social media content (posting, engaging with customers).  Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.  Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.  English speaking is required.  Preferred: Chinese, Korean, or Japanese as a first or second language.  Understanding of Chinese, Korean, or Japanese culture is a plus.
