Program Title: Global Wheelhouse Sales & Recruiting Internship
Program Overview:
Global Wheelhouse is offering a dynamic internship program designed to provide students with hands-on experience in talent acquisition, recruiting, and HR consulting. This internship is structured to align with academic coursework and allows students to earn class credit while gaining real-world experience in a fast-paced business environment.
Internship Duration:
- Fall, Spring, and Summer Semesters
- 10-15 hours per week (flexible scheduling)
- Remote and hybrid options are available
Eligibility:
- Open to undergraduate and graduate students majoring in Business, Human Resources, Entrepreneurship, Communications, Marketing or related fields
- Strong communication skills and an interest in talent acquisition and HR
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Learning Objectives & Outcomes:
Interns will gain:
- A deep understanding of the recruiting lifecycle, from sourcing to onboarding
- Experience with applicant tracking systems and HR software
- Practical skills in resume screening, interview coordination, and candidate outreach
- Exposure to business development and client relationship management
- Mentorship from industry professionals and networking opportunities
- Portfolio-building experience with real-world HR and recruiting projects
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in sourcing and screening candidates for open positions
- Assist in sourcing and connecting with employers for open roles
- Conduct market research to identify hiring trends and opportunities
- Support HR consultants with process documentation and strategic talent planning
- Participate in candidate interviews and evaluation processes
- Engage with clients and stakeholders to support hiring initiatives
- Contribute to marketing efforts, including social media and branding for recruitment
Supervision & Mentorship:
Interns will receive structured guidance from Global Wheelhouse leadership, including weekly check-ins, performance feedback, and professional development sessions.
Academic Credit & Evaluation:
Global Wheelhouse will work with each academic institution to ensure the internship meets credit requirements. Interns will complete a final project or reflection paper to summarize their experience and learning outcomes.
