Analyst, Integrated Absence Solutions
Due to our success and increased business opportunities, we are looking for an IAS Analyst to provide technical and operational support within Integrated Absence Solutions Practice. The ideal candidate will demonstrate some group life and disability benefits experience; high level of professionalism, possess the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, the flexibility to easily adapt to changing priorities and desire to engage in new opportunities to learn.
- Analyze absence trends and metrics to identify opportunities for program improvements and cost savings.
- Generate regular and ad-hoc reports for stakeholders to track program performance and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Support the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of integrated absence management solutions, including disability, family medical leave, and paid time off programs.
- Collaborate with third-party administrators (TPAs) to ensure the seamless delivery of absence services.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, such as FMLA, ADA, and state leave laws.
- Assist in audits, risk assessments, and reporting requirements related to absence policies and programs.
- Act as a point of contact for employees, providing guidance on absence-related policies and procedures.
- Ensure timely resolution of employee inquiries related to leaves, accommodations, and return-to-work processes.
- Partner with HR, payroll, benefits, and legal teams to align absence management programs with organizational needs.
- Provide training and communication materials to managers and employees regarding absence policies.
- Identify inefficiencies in current absence management workflows and recommend solutions for improvement.
- Support the integration of absence management tools into broader HR and payroll systems.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in absence management, benefits administration, or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local leave regulations (FMLA, ADA, etc.).
- Knowledge of traditional fully-insured and self-insured funding arrangements.
- Participates in negotiation conversations in support of the marketing process.
- Understanding of STD, LTD, life and AD&D plan provisions.
- Basic understanding of employer paid time off and paid leave of absence designs, key legislation impacting vendor insured/administered programs (FMLA, ADA, statutory PFML, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of major US life, disability and leave of absence vendors.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools, HRIS systems, and absence management software.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Legal right to work in the United States.
