
PAL Marketing Intern
The PAL Marketing Intern position is a part-time summer position (10-20 hours per week) that will be responsible for supporting marketing efforts for PAL’s Food System work, trail development and events.
This position will support the PAL team, which is passionate, has fun together, and enjoys a flexible work environment.
Social Media and Marketing
- Assist with the creation and scheduling of social media posts to promote the PAL Food Hub, trail development, and events.
- Capture high-quality photos and videos of Food Hub products, trails, events and general Food Hub operations to support marketing efforts.
- Design and produce print and digital marketing materials (e.g., flyers, brochures, social media graphics).
- Update and maintain content on PAL’s website as needed.
- Develop and implement creative marketing campaigns to increase engagement and visibility.
- Gather, analyze, and report on social media and marketing performance metrics.
- Use marketing data and industry best practices to recommend improvements and new strategies.
- Recruit and engage local influencers to promote PAL’s mission, with a focus on the Food Hub and healthy living.
- Engage with and respond to other social media pages to build connections and increase visibility for PAL’s programs.
Content Creation and Blog Writing
- Write engaging and informative blog posts focused on the PAL Food Hub, including:
- Highlighting featured products and farmers.
- Sharing seasonal recipes and cooking tips.
- Showcasing the impact of the Food Hub on the local community.
- Promoting SNAP benefits and accessibility.
- Collaborate with the PAL team to identify key themes and topics for blog content.
- Research industry trends and community stories to inspire creative and relevant content.
Email Marketing
- Create and manage the weekly PAL Food Hub e-blast featuring:
- Available products and specials.
- Updates from local farmers and producers.
- Recipes, nutrition tips, and cooking inspiration.
- Upcoming events and program highlights.
- Track email engagement metrics and suggest strategies to improve open rates and engagement.
Event Support
- Assist with promoting PAL events through social media, email, and other marketing channels.
- Attend and support PAL events by capturing photos and videos for future promotional use.
- Help create event signage, programs, and promotional materials.
General Administrative Support
- Organize and maintain a content library of photos, videos, and marketing assets.
- Monitor marketing-related emails and respond to inquiries as needed.
- Assist with other administrative and marketing tasks as assigned.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Proficiency in Canva and other design tools preferred.
· Proficiency in Instagram and Facebook
· Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
