
Décor Assistant/Installer
Position Summary:
As a Décor Assistant/On-Site Installer, this staff member assists the warehouse and field production staff with tasks as they are assigned, including, but not limited to, painting, cleaning product, wrapping items for delivery, checking incoming items for damages and restocking. As an Installer, this staff person acts as an assistant for set up and tear down of large scale events and as a lead for smaller events.
Essential Functions, Responsibilities, Duties:
- Supervise achievement of visual excellence throughout all departments of WCEP.
- Completing duties as assigned by Décor Managers, Builds Coordinator and Décor Warehouse Coordinator.
- Executing tasks with high level of accuracy and speed.
- Prepping items for delivery: cleaning, repairing, and packing.
- Painting: standard items.
- Reviewing pull lists for accuracy and ensuring trucks are loaded correctly and safely.
- Maintaining a clean and safe warehouse.
- Acting as décor lead on small events.
- Acting as décor assistant on large events.
- Receiving orders and closing POs.
- Assist in inventory management.
- Participating in event strikes, including tear down and load-out.
- Ensuring accuracy of paperwork: onsite and in the warehouse.
- Driving delivery van and 16’ box truck (training provided).
Skills, Abilities and Education:
- Detail oriented and able to multi task.
- Familiarity with power tools, shop equipment and painting techniques.
- Understanding of materials and applications.
- Keen aesthetic eye.
- Able to lift 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks.
- Flexible and adaptable to change in time sensitive situations.
- Eagerness to be a hands-on team member.
- Degree in one of the following fields (or similar industry experience, two years) Theater Design, Visual Arts, Production Design.
- Driver's license and reliable vehicle.
