AI and Analytics Research Internship

About the Role

We are seeking a 2025 Summer Intern – AI and Analytics Research Analyst to conduct research, analyze trends, gather insights, and help build practical resources related to the use of AI and analytics in business environments.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys research, writing, and critical thinking. The intern will support the development of materials such as playbooks, case studies, and articles that simplify complex topics and help organizations better understand the opportunities and considerations involved in launching AI and analytics initiatives.

Interns who demonstrate strong performance, initiative, and alignment with Yellow Bag Tech’s values may be considered for full-time employment opportunities following the successful completion of the internship.

This is an 8-10 week part-time internship that requires the intern to work on-site at our Indianapolis office two days per week.

Key Responsibilities

At Yellow Bag Tech, we believe that critical thinking, independent analysis, and clear communication are essential to high-quality work.

We maintain a strict no AI usage policy for day-to-day tasks, including but not limited to: writing notes, generating research summaries, answering questions, or producing deliverables. In this role, you will be expected to think, process information, and produce work independently, using your own skills and judgment.

Applicants must be willing and able to perform the responsibilities of the role without relying on AI tools to complete their work. In this role you'll be responsible for the following: 

Research & Insights Development

• Conduct research on AI and analytics trends, tools, and applications across industries
• Gather perspectives from industry professionals through outreach and participation in virtual events
• Analyze findings to identify key themes, opportunities, and best practices

Content Development

• Assist in developing playbooks, case studies, frameworks, and articles based on research insights
• Translate complex topics into clear, practical resources for business leaders
• Synthesize research findings into concise summaries and action oriented recommendations

Collaboration

• Work closely with internal teams to align research and content with project goals
• Incorporate feedback to continuously improve the clarity and quality of deliverables
  
   

Who You Are

Education & Experience

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Finance, Analytics, Business, or Data Science

Technical Skills

• Comfortable conducting research and analyzing business trends
• Exposure to Excel, Power BI, or similar tools; familiarity with data concepts preferred
• Strong writing and communication skills

Soft Skills

• Self-starter with strong time management and organizational abilities
• Ability to translate complex research into clear, usable outputs
• Curiosity about AI, analytics, and their business applications
• Proactive, eager to learn, and aligned with Yellow Bag Tech’s mission driven approach
