Community Compost Hub Ambassador (Part-time)
Fresh Approach seeks a detail-oriented and organized individual with good public communication skills to plan, coordinate, and implement the organization’s Community Compost Hub programming.This role is primarily responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing community compost programming with the Phoenix Garden in San Mateo and San Mateo Farmer's Market, as well as supporting other projects at the Phoenix Garden.
Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Assist with the Community Compost Hub program in San Mateo at the Phoenix Garden
- (222 Paul Scannell Drive, San Mateo)
- Interface with Community Members at the San Mateo Farmers’ Market (Saturdays) (1700 Hillsdale Blvd)
- Assist in developing and leading compost workshops and demonstrations
- Interface with Staff, other team members, and volunteers
Conditions of Employment:
- Hourly, non-exempt, part-time position paid at $22/hour
- 8-20 hours per week
- May 2025 through December 2025
