Location: Tribrid (occasionally in the field, in the office, and from home)

Job Summary: The Catholic Social Media Associate will play a vital role in enhancing Sheepdog Productions' online presence across various social media platforms. This position is perfect for students currently pursuing education at community college or individuals passionate about using social media to promote Catholic values and community engagement. It also recognizes the skills and creativity of those who have pursued social media management as a hobby or developed a deep interest in the field yet lack significant prior professional experience and/or formal education credentials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and executing social media strategies to boost engagement and visibility.
- Engage with team, volunteers, and public at in-the-field events.
- Capture in-the-field events via photography and videography.
- Create, curate, and schedule compelling content for platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
- Respond to comments and messages, fostering respectful and meaningful interaction with followers.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure messaging aligns with Catholic values and the organization's mission.
- Monitor social media performance and provide insights based on analytics.
- Stay informed about social media trends and tools to enhance digital presence.
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with and willingness to promote Catholic teachings and values (required).
- Enrollment in community college, with coursework in Communications, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- Passion for social media, demonstrated through projects, hobbies, personal, and/or professional training and/or experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of social media platforms and tools; willingness to learn and grow.
Preferred Skills:
- Creative mindset with the ability to design visually appealing content.
- Keen interest or extraprofessional experience in graphic design and video editing.
- Understanding of community engagement and event promotion.
