Publicity Intern - Publishing

We’re publishing a powerful and visually striking photo book that brings readers face-to-face with some of the most important thinkers alive through intimate portraits and thought-provoking conversations. We’re looking for a creative, thoughtful intern to help us share this project with the wider world and build meaningful press momentum.

What you’ll do
• Research and pitch to podcasts, media outlets, and cultural publications aligned with the book’s spirit
• Support our collaboration with a book publicist and help coordinate press opportunities
• Help craft thoughtful, authentic media pitches and press releases
• Develop ideas for securing meaningful features, interviews, and podcast appearances
• Assist in creating a media kit and supporting materials to present the project beautifully

About you
• You love the power of stories, ideas, and visual media to spark conversation
• You have a thoughtful, professional approach to communications and outreach
• You’re comfortable (or excited to learn) how to pitch to journalists, podcasters, and media contacts
• You’re passionate about projects that have meaning and cultural relevance
• You care about quality over gimmicks and want to contribute to something that lasts

Bonus points
• Experience writing or pitching to media outlets (even academic or student publications)
• Familiarity with podcast or media landscapes, especially in the cultural or intellectual space
• Some knowledge of book publicity or cultural PR campaigns
