HVAC Sales Engineer

Job Opportunity: HVAC Sales Engineer with ElitAire – Indianapolis, Indiana

As the HVAC Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining productive relationships, within an assigned territory, with engineers, architects, mechanical contractors, general contractors, and owners. ElitAire is a provider of commercial and industrial HVAC equipment and services for new and existing buildings.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with building owners, consulting engineers, and contractors to drive sales of HVAC products and services.
  • Conduct site visits, assess customer needs, and provide tailored HVAC solutions.
  • Prepare and present proposals, cost estimates, and technical recommendations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering and service departments, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Stay up to date on HVAC industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Provide technical support and product training to customers as needed.

 Qualifications and Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline; required.
  • Education or competitor experience in the commercial HVAC industry; required.
  • Exceptional communication skills, well-developed listening skills, and ability to interpret business and client needs and navigate complex customer interactions.
  • Flexibility to travel and participate in the Daikin Applied Graduate Engineer Training (GET) six-month program to learn foundational knowledge, build professional networks, enhance industry credibility, and understand HVAC products, systems, applications and real-life situations; required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the MS Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Prior experience creating sales proposals, quotes, and reviewing contracts.
  • Demonstrated sales success - energized by meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Outstanding relationship management, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven initiative and strong work ethic.
  • Revit or AutoCAD experience.
