Assistant Swim Club Manager

Job Type: Full-time, Summer Seasonal, Max 40 hours a week (May through Labor Day) 
Salary: Competitive salary based on experience

We are looking for a motivated and proactive Assistant Swim Club Manager to support the overall operations of our swim club. The Assistant Manager will work closely with the Swim Club Manager to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, provide excellent service to members, and contribute to the development of swim programs and events. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing daily operations, including staff coordination, facility maintenance, and member services.
  • Support the planning and execution of swim programs, events, and swim meets.
  • Supervise and assist swim coaches and staff, ensuring high standards of training and customer service.
  • Handle member inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Assist in scheduling and managing the swim club’s programs and activities.
  • Maintain records related to membership, financials, and staffing.
  • Help with the marketing and promotion of club activities to increase membership and engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and assist with emergency procedures when necessary.
  • Contribute to the development of strategies to improve the club’s services and operations.
  • Provide backup for the Swim Club Manager in their absence.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent to (required). A bachelor’s degree in management, Recreation, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in management, swim coaching, or a related field (desired).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of swimming programs, events, and coaching techniques.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Comfortable using management software for scheduling, communication, and financial tracking.
  • Certified Pool Operator or Pool Director Certification (plus)
  • First Aid and CPR certifications (or willingness to obtain).
  • Lifeguard Management Certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • A passion for swimming and helping others improve their skills.
