Management Trainee Rotational Program

OVERVIEW

Perfetti Van Melle (makers of Mentos, Airheads, Dentyne, Trident and Bubblicious!) is one of the world's largest manufacturers and distributors of confectionery and chewing gum with global brands that are being enjoyed in more than 150 countries worldwide. We’re currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Commercial Management Trainee to join our growing team.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

This role is designed to provide the Management Trainee with comprehensive training and hands-on experience in various commercial functions, including Sales, Marketing, and Commercial Excellence. The ideal candidate must be driven, learn quickly in dynamic environments, highly adaptable, and ready to take on new challenges. The Management Trainee will work alongside experienced professionals from different commercial functions and perform delegated duties with the goal of being prepared for managerial roles within the organization upon the completion of the rigorous 18-month program. Below are the role responsibilities within this program:

· Sales & Marketing Support: Assist the sales and marketing teams in creating and executing programs to meet business goals and boost growth for a specific area or brand.

· Market Research: Conduct research to identify new opportunities and stay updated on market trends.

· Client Relationship Management: Help maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.

· Data Analysis: Review sales data and market trends to offer insights and strategic recommendations.

· Project Support: Contribute to the planning and execution of commercial projects, ensuring they stay on schedule and within budget.

· Reporting: Prepare and present reports on commercial performance and key activities as needed.

· Training & Development: Take part in training programs to build skills across various commercial areas.

· Rotational Assignments: Rotate through different commercial departments to gain exposure and ensure flexibility for future roles.

· Company Knowledge: Learn about PVM’s operations, departments, management perspectives, and internal policies that impact business processes.

· Performance Goals: Work towards meeting specific performance targets, guided by mentors and department coaches.

· On-the-Job Learning: Observe and learn from experienced team members to understand company procedures, standards, and best practices.

· Operational Support: Offer proactive help in daily tasks to support decision-making in assigned departments.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

· Recently completed a bachelor’s degree in General Business, Management, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Operations Management, or a related field.

· MBA candidates or recent MBA graduates are preferred.

· Previous internship experience is a plus.

· Demonstrate leadership and effective communication skills.

· Strong ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and work independently.

· Proven leadership experience through academics, athletics, or professional roles.

· A solid work ethic with a strong desire to learn and grow.

· Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

· Strong interpersonal skills, with clear and professional verbal and written communication.

· Comfortable working collaboratively with individuals at all levels of an organization.

· Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment while following all health and safety guidelines.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
