IAs a Legal & Title Support Intern, you will be part of a dynamic team working on property acquisition, disposition, and legal documentation. The intern will assist with processing documents and providing general support to the legal department. This role is ideal for students interested in real estate, political science, and legal studies.
Interns will work directly with their department’s leadership. Essential functions of the job are listed below. Reasonable accommodation may be made to allow differently abled individuals to perform the essential functions of the job.
Internship Learning Objectives/Task Goals:
- Review and organize legal documents related to real estate transactions, including deeds, title policies, and other title-related records.
- Assist with property disclosures, identify basic title issues, and support deed preparation.
- Observe real estate closing processes, assist with document preparation, and help manage legal correspondence.
- Perform general administrative duties, such as scanning, printing, and processing incoming mail.
Minimum Education/Skills/Experience/Credentials:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, Paralegal Studies, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with real estate terminology and title documents is a plus.
- Previous internship or work experience in real estate, legal, or title coordination is a plus but not required.
- Currently enrolled in an accredited law school and having completed at least one year of coursework by the start of the internship.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Strong customer, quality, and results orientation.
- Ability to be an effective member of project teams.
- Follows all organizational systems, programs, training, policies, and procedures as required and complies with relevant legal mandates. Seeks guidance as necessary.
- Carries out all responsibilities in an honest, ethical, and professional manner.
- Handles various other ad hoc projects and duties as delegated by direct supervisor/management.
This is a paid internship, however AMH does not provide housing, relocation, or transportation assistance.

In the states of Colorado, California, Washington, and Illinois; the anticipated pay range/scale for this position is $22.00. Actual starting base pay will depend on factors including geographic location, education, training, skills, and relevant experience.
