The Manager, Light Rail Vehicle (LRV) Service & Cleaning, oversees the daily operations of LRV service and cleaning functions, ensuring compliance with Federal Transit Administration (FTA) requirements, audits, and associated corrective actions. This position manages Service and Cleaning Supervisors and union workforce, ensuring high-quality, efficient and safe operations. The Manager fosters a collaborative environment, drives continuous improvement, and upholds organizational standards in service delivery and cleanliness.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential:
* Recruits and provides direct supervision to the Supervisors of Service & Cleaning, offering leadership and guidance to the service and cleaning team. This includes fostering a safe, efficient, and inclusive work environment while ensuring employee performance aligns with organizational policies, procedures, and labor agreements.
* Oversees the day-to-day LRV cleaning and servicing activities, ensuring vehicles meet cleanliness and operational standards for passenger safety and comfort.
* Collaborates, develops and facilitates strategies to enhance service quality, efficiency and employee performance. Identify process improvements to reduce downtime and optimize resource utilization.
* Works collaboratively with other Light Rail Operations departments to align service and cleaning efforts with overall operational goals and schedules.
* Collaborates with Labor Relations and union representatives to address workforce issues, resolve grievances, and ensure adherence to collective bargaining agreements.
* Ensures staff receive necessary training on safety, cleaning protocols, and regulatory requirements.
* Ensures compliance with all FTA requirements, audits, and associated corrective actions. Maintain thorough documentation and oversee audit preparation to ensure ongoing compliance.
* Monitors and enforce adherence to safety protocols, ensuring a safe work environment for employees and compliance with organizational and federal safety standards.
* Manages and track operational budgets, materials, and equipment for service and cleaning activities. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
* Performs all other job-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* High school diploma or GED required, associate degree in management, business administration, or closely related field of study preferred.
* Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience in the service industry, preferably within a transit or transportation environment. Experience with cleaning and servicing transit vehicles preferred, but not required.
* Experience managing union employees is strongly preferred, but not required.

* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure, including during inclement weather and off-hours as necessary.
* Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, union representatives, and external stakeholders.
* Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
* Ability to use sound judgment.
* Ability to manage time and workload effectively, which includes planning, organizing and prioritizing with attention to detail.
* Commitment to maintaining and enforcing a safe working environment.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong problem-solving skills to address operational challenges and implement effective solutions.

Pay Range:
$92,003.00 - $129,954.50 Annual
