PART TIME - Virtual Assistant and Copy Editor

5 HOURS A WEEK | JUNE - AUGUST OR JULY - SEPTEMBER | WITH ROOM FOR GROWTH

DESCRIPTION

Working directly with Lynn (Owner and Creative Director). the Virtual Assistant and Copy Editor (hereinafter referred to as “VA”) is responsible for proofreading, copy editing, and providing administrative assistance for Lynn Krueger Designs. This position includes weekly correspondence with Lynn to create blogs, conduct market research, research grants, and assist with various admin tasks.

LOCATION & DETAILS

  • Remote (U.S.A-based, not eligible for work sponsorship)
  • Part time
  • Contract role

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proofreading web pages
  • Copy editing blogs (I would like to provide a rough draft and have the VA take it over the finish line)
  • Researching authors and trends in the literary industry
  • Researching small business grants
  • Assisting with admin tasks
  • Sending out cold pitch emails & DMs to authors (templates will be provided)
  • There may be the potential for light graphic design work such as creating social media posts in Canva, exporting graphics for web clients, etc. if the candidate is interested. This is not a requirement.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has a detail-oriented eye when it comes to proofreading
  • Writes clearly and effectively
  • Is highly organized (especially with tasks and file organization)
  • Is a self-starter who can meet deadlines with little oversight
  • Brings creative problem-solving to every project
  • Bonus: Is passionate about pursuing a career in the literary industry or the website/graphic design industry.
