Social Media and Marketing VISTA (entry level)

Serve as an AmeriCorps VISTA with United Way of the Piedmont! As a Social Media & Marketing VISTA, you will be responsible for building the capacity of a local nonprofit organization to provide health, education, and economic mobility services through the following activities: grant writing, resource development, public relations and marketing, program development, and/or other capacity-building activities

Responsibilities may include: 

• Social media mangagement & creation
• Event coordination
• Marketing and communications
• Grant writing and fund development
• Volunteer recruitment and training
• Data collection, research, and analysis
• Community outreach and engagement

All VISTA Members in SC receive these benefits: 

• $750 Settling In allowance and government rate mileage reimbursement for those moving more than 50 miles to serve
• Education Award to be used toward student loans or further education ($7,395 upon completion of service) OR an end-of-service cash stipend ($1,800)
