Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate Science Teacher who can engage students with ASD in interactive, hands-on learning experiences. The ideal candidate will be skilled at adapting scientific concepts to meet the individual needs of each student while fostering a love for learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and Deliver Science Lessons: Create engaging and hands-on lessons that make science concepts accessible to students with ASD.
- Classroom Management: Establish and maintain a safe and productive classroom environment where students can thrive.
- Assess and Evaluate Student Progress: Monitor student understanding of scientific concepts and adjust lessons accordingly.
- Support Individual Learning Needs: Modify lesson plans and strategies to address the unique needs of each student.
- Collaborate with Parents and Staff: Maintain open communication with parents to discuss student progress and address concerns.
- Foster a Positive Science Learning Environment: Encourage student curiosity, problem-solving, and critical thinking in science.

Behavior and Intervention Support: Utilize appropriate behavior management techniques and recommend interventions when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Science Teacher in the State of Ohio
- Experience or a strong understanding of teaching students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD)
- Ability to adapt lessons to the varying academic needs of students
- Enthusiasm for science and a passion for teaching
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and be flexible with student needs
