ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Marketing Director is the organization’s storymaker. Whether sharing content on social media or hosting an event in the Restaurant, the Marketing Director seeks opportunities to create engaging content and experiences that leave our guests and Team Members feeling connected to the CFA Pasadena family. 





 

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Marketing Director is expected to:

  • Execute quarterly goals aligning with the Restaurant’s Vision, Core Values, and Business Plan as assigned by the Executive Director of Sales & Brand Growth’s Core Expectations
  • Maintain and leverage positive relationships with all Restaurant leaders to achieve results
  • Meet weekly with supervisor: Executive Director of Sales & Brand Growth 
  • Meet weekly with direct reports: Marketing Managers
  • Meet monthly with: Leadership Coach
  • Meet as needed with: Chief of Staff and Owner/Operator
  • Coordinate a monthly marketing schedule and calendar to communicate with Team Members and leaders important events and promotions
  • Post frequently on social media platforms including Instagram and Facebook
  • Schedule Dining Room community events to invite our guests to engage in story making with us
  • Schedule monthly Team Member events to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries
  • Partner with FOH & BOH Director to identify marketing projects and promotions to increase sales and productivity 
  • Maintain the promotional items (POP) posted throughout the restaurant, including all menu boards, posters, stuffing flyers, local posted announcements, DT stake signs, etc.
  • Identify Team Members to participate in Marketing events and social media content
  • Assist BOH/Kitchen & Catering Teams in preparation and fulfillment of Catering orders, as needed
  • Answer the Catering Phone (while on the clock, in the absence of Catering Managers) to steward guest inquiries and concerns regarding their Catering needs, as needed
  • Partner with Catering Manager to connect with local businesses and individuals to increase catering interest, manage partnerships, and facilitate donations
  • Participate in marketing “blitzing” events to hand out flyers and/or promotional items to increase catering interest
  • Cold call local businesses to increase interest in Restaurant events and catering
  • Maintain professionalism in demeanor, conduct, and dress when interacting with guests
  • Participate alongside Hospitality Director in off-site community events, fundraisers, and large-scale catered events where Team Member serving is required
  • Maintain proficiency in FOH and/or BOH Positions to assist operations as needed
  • Perform regular maintenance to up-keep quality, cleanliness, and efficiency of equipment and facilities related to Marketing (e.g. laminator, Marketing/Catering Closet, Cow Costumes, event decor, etc.)
  • Create, maintain, and innovate organizational systems as they relate to Marketing
  • Complete other duties as assigned by Executive Director of Sales & Brand Growth and/or Chief of Staff

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Must be 21 years of age or older*

Willing to work holidays

Willing to work nights and weekends

Available to work 35+ hours per week

Proficient Food Safety knowledge and training


 

*May be asked to drive the Catering Van. Must be 21 years of age or older for insurance purposes.


 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

3 - 6 months  of Chick-fil-A Pasadena experience

Bachelor’s Degree
