Editor/ Social Media Coordinator

Editor / Social Media Coordinator 

 

This position supports the Chinese Culture Development Center (CCDC) in Los Angeles across publishing, social media operations, and project coordination. The role is integral to ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, enhancing brand influence, and optimizing communication effectiveness.

 

I. Publishing Operations

  • Assist with topic research and content selection for Meihua magazine, including editorial planning and copyright clearance.
  • Support editorial workflows such as conducting interviews, liaising with contributors, organizing source materials, and performing initial content reviews.
  • Oversee magazine content development, including editing, proofreading, and managing production timelines.
  • Maintain daily communication with the design team to coordinate layouts, revisions, scheduling, and ad design requirements, while ensuring timely delivery of design assets.
  • Review, archive, and manage all editorial content, image assets, and page layouts.
  • Provide support in content compilation, editing, and proofreading for other assigned CCDC publications.

一、出版业务

  1. 协助收集和整理《美华》杂志选题信息,参与选题确认和授权转载事务处理。
  2. 协助《美华》杂志的采编工作,包括采访、与撰稿人对接、资料整理、采访协调与文稿初审。负责杂志内容的跟进与统筹,涵盖文稿编辑、校对及进度管理。
  3. 与设计团队保持日常沟通,协调版面设计、进度安排与改版需求,同时对接广告版面设计与相关素材提供。
  4. 负责稿件、图片素材与版面的审核与归档管理。
  5. 完成其他指定出版物的内容整理、编辑、校对和协助工作。

II. Social Media Operations

  • Manage and maintain CCDC’s three official Xiaohongshu (RED) social media accounts, including daily posting and audience engagement.
  • Create tailored content strategies for each social platform by transforming print content into dynamic digital formats and curating original topics designed to maximize audience engagement.
  • Coordinate content integration for Meihua-branded offline events and facilitate collaboration with external media, influencers (KOLs), and partner brands to expand visibility.
  • Update and maintain CCDC’s official website content and manage key information updates. Collect, edit, and publish the organization’s e-newsletter.
  • Analyze monthly social media metrics and compile performance reports to guide content optimization and inform future strategic adjustments.

二、新媒体运营

  1. 负责管理并维护中心旗下三个小红书社交媒体账号的日常发布和运营。
  2. 根据不同账号定位,合理进行选题制定、内容分发和互动,包括新媒体二次发布、内容包装与转换,增强传播力与互动性。
  3. 策划并执行美华品牌线下活动的内容联动,推动账号与外部媒体、KOL或品牌的推广合作,拓展传播渠道。
  4. 协助维护CCDC官方网站内容的更新与基本信息管理。负责收集、整理、编辑并发布中心Newsletter简报。
  5. 每月整理并分析社交平台运营数据,撰写运营简报,为内容优化和策略调整提供依据。

III. Project Coordination and Execution

  • Participate in the planning and execution of CCDC’s cultural events, including copywriting, promotional material, social media campaign execution, event organization, and on-site coordination.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources, and serve as a liaison with partners, clients, and relevant institutions to ensure effective and timely project delivery.

三、项目策划执行

  1. 参与中国文化发展中心相关线下活动的策划、文案撰写、宣传品制作、新媒体传播、组织与现场协调工作等。
  2. 协调内外部资源,负责与合作方、客户、相关机构沟通联络,推动项目顺利执行。

 

Requirements:

1. Legal working and tax filing status in the United States;

    有合法的工作和税务身份

2. Be fluent in listening, speaking, reading and writing in both Chinese and English;

    熟练掌握中英文的听说读写

3. More than 1 years of work experience in marketing, advertising, media, and publishing industries;

   1年以上在Marketing, Advertising, Media, Publishing行业的工作经验

4. Prefer driver license and have strong social skills;

    最好有驾照;有较强的沟通和交流能力

5. Living in Southern California and have deep understanding and connections with the local Chinese American communities.
