Pricing and Revenue Management Intern

By the end of the program, interns will have gained valuable skills and knowledge that will be beneficial in their future careers. 

 

The Pricing and Revenue Management (PRM) intern will get the unique opportunity to learn how AMH maximizes rental revenue by optimizing the mix of occupancy and rent.  In addition, the intern will be introduced (and occasionally work beside) many departments within the AMH ecosystem for which the PRM department works with such as Marketing, Development, Business Intelligence, and Data Science.  Learn how to execute data driven decisions that drive the bottom line for one of America’s largest SFR operators.  In addition to contributing to the day to day PRM operations, the internship will include several small projects and one large project intended to push our business and department forward.  The scopes of these projects are largely determined by the intern with the guidance of one of the members of our team. 

 

Pricing & Revenue Management Internship Learning Objectives/Task Goals:

  • Research, develop, and present a major project that enhances our top line revenue and profitability
  • Contribute to our daily workflow by utilizing our revenue management models to recommend rental adjustments on a group of homes
  • Work cross functionally with our partners to ensure that our homes are presented, marketed, and priced in an optimal way
  • Provide feedback and QC requirements of our new and proprietary pricing system


Minimum Education/Skills/Experience/Credentials:

  • Enrolled in a university degree program relevant to the department in which they are working (Finance, Economics, Data Science, Applied Math, Marketing)
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and effectively prioritize and juggle multiple concurrent projects.
  • Must have a strong work ethic and a positive attitude; dependable, require minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Results-driven achiever with exemplary planning and organizational skills, along with a high degree of detail orientation.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all aspects of job responsibilities.
  • Carries out all responsibilities in an honest, ethical, and professional manner.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office Suite, including MS Excel.
  • Robust assessment, analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Availability to commit to 40 hours per week.

 

This is a paid internship, however AMH does not provide housing, relocation, or transportation assistance.

In the states of Colorado, California, Washington, and Illinois; the anticipated pay range/scale for this position is $22.00.  Actual starting base pay will depend on factors including geographic location, education, training, skills, and relevant experience.
