JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Marketing Coordinator
Department: SUNY CAS, Inc.
Reports To: Director of Marketing/IT/POS
Classification: Non-Exempt, 52 weeks/year
Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Director of Marketing/IT/POS , the main responsibility will be to provide marketing materials for SUNY Cobleskill Auxiliary Services, Inc. (CAS)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, coordinate, and execute a marketing calendar for Auxiliary Services, (Dining, C-Store, Retail, Carriage House, and Vending/Laundry)
- Implement promotions and pop-up concepts that enhance the guest experience
- Monitor multiple unit performances and identify opportunities for improvements
- Provide promotional opportunities for downtown dollar vendors
- Update CAS webpages
- Back-up support for Laundry/Vending maintenance tickets
- Work with Champlin Dining on menu layout and upload weekly to webpage
- Weekly update of unit menu boards
- Conduct focus groups and administer customer surveys both digitally and in-person
- Promote the work of CAS as it relates to the campus mission and to enhance the student experience
- Maintain positive partnerships with campus student groups and organizations, as well as professional offices
- Some travel may be required
- Perform all other duties, as assigned by the Marketing Director
- Adhere to policies and procedures set by the campus and CAS
Qualification Requirements
Education and/or Experience
- Associate Degree in Marketing, preferred
- Experience in print, digital, and social media marketing
- Works well under supervision and independently
Knowledge / Skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, conflict-resolution, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and assignments, manage time effectively, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of Mac-Platform programs, Canva, and familiar with Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.) Ability to learn monitor display programs (Optisigns / Trooh)
Physical Demands
- Use of computers for long periods of time
- Sustained standing, and/or sitting and/ walking
- Lifting and/or carrying, occasionally to exceed fifty (50) pounds
Terms of Employment
Fifty-two weeks per year, 40 hours per week with some weekend and evening work (Accepted Student Days, Commencement and Special Events). Salary Range: $52,000 - $60,000
Office Hours
Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, coinciding with campus hours and academic calendar. Schedule will be as determined by mutual agreement and may be subject to change to meet the needs of the operation.
