Talent Acquisition Intern

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Talent Acquisition Intern to join our dynamic Human Resources team.  This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the full recruitment lifecycle, contributing to the growth and success of our organization by attracting top talent.  The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses excellent communication skills and has a strong interest in human resources and talent acquisition.  This position reports to the Talent Acquisition Manager.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sourcing and Candidate Identification:
    • Assist in identifying potential candidates through various online channels, including job boards, social media platforms and professional networks
    • Utilize search techniques and sourcing strategies to build candidate pipelines
    • Proactively reach out to passive candidates and engage them in potential opportunities
  • Screening and Assessment:
    • Review applications and resumes to identify qualified candidates based on job requirements
    • Conduct initial phone screenings to assess candidate qualifications, skills and cultural fit
    • Schedule interviews for hiring managers and coordinate candidate communication
  • Interview Support:
    • Assist with the interview process, including preparing interview materials and potentially participating in interviews
    • Collect feedback from interviewers and maintain accurate records
  • Administrative and Operational Support:
    • Maintain and update the applicant tracking system (ATS) with candidate information and progress
    • Assist with the creation and posting of job descriptions on various platforms
    • Coordinate travel arrangements and logistics for out-of-town candidates, as needed
    • Prepare reports and analyze recruitment data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Employer Branding and Outreach:
    • Support employer branding initiatives by participating in career fairs, campus events and online recruitment events
    • Assist in creating engaging content for social media and other recruitment channels
    • Research and stay up to date on industry best practices and innovative recruitment strategies
  • Special Projects:
    • Contribute to various HR and Talent Acquisition projects as assigned

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • Proficiency in Google Suites is a plus
  • Familiarity with application tracking systems (ATS) is a plus
  • Experience with social media and online sourcing tools is a plus

 

EXPERTISE:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

 

EDUCATION:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field.

 

PAY RANGE:

  • Base pay will be $18/hour

 

LOCALIZATION AND TRAVEL EXPECTED:

  • This position is located in West Bend, WI
  • No travel required
