Video Production Social Media Coordinator

We're a growing progressive political media operation based in Lenoir City, focused on authentic analysis and commentary that cuts through typical political speak. We're expanding our reach through livestreaming, podcasting, and social media to build a movement of politically engaged citizens.

The Role:

We need a tech-savvy political enthusiast to join our team as a full-time Media Production & Social Media Coordinator. You'll be the behind-the-scenes force that makes our livestreams, podcasts, and social media presence run smoothly.

What You'll Do:

  • Operate as livestream producer using Ecamm Live, managing all technical aspects
  • Edit and produce podcast episodes with Descript
  • Coordinate guest bookings and prepare for interviews
  • Manage and grow our presence across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X, and Facebook
  • Create engaging clips and content optimized for each platform
  • Run our Stream Deck and RØDECaster Pro II during live productions
  • Set up and troubleshoot our Sony camera equipment
  • Help develop our audience growth strategy

Who You Are:

  • Passionate about progressive politics and current events
  • A self-described tech nerd who's comfortable with streaming software
  • Someone who's already experimented with content creation (even as a hobby)
  • Quick learner who enjoys figuring out new platforms and equipment
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Interested in media, PR, and advertising

Experience We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience (professional or hobby) with streaming software, video editing, or podcast production
  • Familiarity with social media best practices
  • Understanding of progressive political landscape
  • Technical troubleshooting abilities
  • Formal education not required – we care about skills and passion

Details:

  • Location: Onsite in Lenoir City, TN
  • Hours: Full-time (40 hours/week), relatively fixed schedule
  • Compensation: $15-20/hour based on experience and skills
  • Start date: ASAP
  • Equipment: All studio equipment provided
