We are currently looking for a Flavors Laboratory Intern for our Flavor Creation Department located in our Princeton, NJ office for Summer 2025. Standard working hours are Monday – Friday 40 hours per week.
Our Flavor Creation Department is an essential part in the product development process, responsible for crafting unique and memorable taste experiences. Using cutting-edge technology and deep understanding of ingredients, we design flavors for a wide range of applications including beverages, confections and dairy. From concept to commercialization, we work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that every flavor not only meets regulatory and quality standards but also delivers a consistent and delightful sensory profile.
Your responsibilities:
- This position would compound flavors and operate benchtop spray dryers and homogenizers
- Responsible for lab maintenance
- Conduct sensory evaluations and product testing in food and beverage bases
- Follow established safety protocol
- Work with cross-functional teams to arrange samples for shipments
- Work alongside flavorists with active customer driven projects
- Work on cost reduction initiatives
Your profile:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline preferably in Food Science Chemistry
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong communicator and team player
- Able to take direction and work independently when needed
