Overnight Newscast Director

OVERNIGHT NEWSCAST DIRECTOR

WPSD LOCAL 6 has an immediate opening for an Overnight Newscast Director. directing newscasts using Newscast Automation, master control operations including oversight of playlist play out for three channels, checking in program materials and ingesting commercial/promotion materials and editing with Grass Valley Edius software, ingesting video clips (commercials, promos and public service announcements) into the video server and Floor Direct newscasts. Will also operate the newsroom computer system to edit “birthday” graphics for the morning newscasts. 

High school diploma or GED required.  Broadcasting or production experience, familiarity with video and audio equipment, personal computers, or any technology-related equipment is preferred.  Must be able to work under stressful situations.  Good communication skills are essential. Hours will include overnights and weekends, and other times as needed, making it ideal for someone attending college.
