Sales Strategies (Government) Intern

Data Axle is looking for a college level student who can help our team as a Sales Strategies (Government) Intern. This position will work closely with Sales Management leadership on projects such as analyzing market opportunity (Total Addressable Market—TAM), auditing go-to-market (GTM) positioning, and benchmarking our offerings vs. select competitors (competitive SWOT).

Responsibilities:

 

  • Receive training on the company’s CRM and sales processes.
  • Shadow experienced sales representatives to learn about their approach to prospecting, demonstrating products, and closing deals.
  • Identify and qualify potential leads through research and networking.  Use various tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, and Hunter to find contact information and learn more about companies we are targeting.
  • Assist the Sales team with administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, preparing proposals, and maintaining accurate records in the CRM.
  • Attend sales training, webinars, and industry events to expand knowledge and skills
  • Receive goals, regular feedback, and at the end of the internship present accomplishments and learnings to the Sales team.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Business, Sales, or a related field.
  • 6 to 12 months prior work experience is preferred.
  • Fluent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Prior Salesforce experience a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
