Department: Campus Ministry

Immediate Supervisor: Jurell Sison

Rate of Pay: $10.70 per hour.

Job Summary

The Marketing and Communications Intern will provide support to all facets of communication in the Campus Ministry Department including both tradition and digital marketing. The Intern may also assist in market research, data analysis, graphic design, photography, videography, video editing, and more.
 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Designing marketing pieces for campus and social media 
  • Administrative Tasks to coordinate Marketing efforts (printing/hanging flyers, submitting LoboVision graphics, submitting InsideJCU, putting together and sending out the eBulletin, etc...)
  • Assisting with photography and videography projects
  • Assisting CM staff with staffing the office and with administrative tasks and logistics
  • Assist in updating the Campus Ministry Website and podcast efforts

Qualifications

  • The Marketing and Communications Intern is ideally majoring in communication, public relations, journalism, English, marketing, or a related field
  • A strong understanding of media content creation, especially social media tools and platforms
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Effective, active listening skills 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and proficiencies with computer software (MS Word, Outlook, Publisher and Excel required; MS Planner or Project preferred).
  • Knowledge of standard industry tools such as Constant Contact, Survey Monkey, WordPress, and CMS/VMS is preferred
