Nonprofit Marketing/Communication Intern
The Philip Jaisohn Memorial Foundation has become the premier health and human services organization of the Asian American community and strives to strengthen and expand its services while cultivating the next generation of leaders to carry on Dr. Philip Jaisohn’s legacy. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 1975.
The mission of the foundation is to promote and fulfill Dr. Phillip Jaisohn’s ideals of humanity through:
- A broad range of medical and health care
- Senior employment training and social services
- Educational and cultural programs for the enrichment of the community
The Philip Jaisohn Memorial Foundation is pleased to offer internships and scholarships for college and graduate students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and service to their schools and communities. The primary recipients are promising students excelling in their studies in the fields of medicine, social service, journalism, and patient care who have financial needs. Other qualifications for each scholarship are specified below. The deadline for scholarships is Monday June 30, 2025 while internship applications are considered on a rolling admissions basis until all positions are filled. Jobs will vary depending on the interests of the intern. Possible tasks include:
- Surveying patients
- Writing the quarterly Newsletter
- Writing the annual report
- Creating and sharing promotional materials
- Event planning support
- Organizing and classifying historical documents
- Senior center programming
- Grant writing support
- Data entry (accounting or EMR)
- Clerical work
