Description
Titan Tire in Freeport, IL, an intense and exciting company, is looking for summer interns to join our creative team of managers at a front-line supervisory level. The front-line supervisor is the key to high performance of the organization. They play a vital role in solving the differences between the workers, be it personal or professional, and help them to work together to enhance the quality of work.
The interns hired for this position should expect to learn all facets of managing people in a tire manufacturing and will leave this position with invaluable skills and industry knowledge. Responsibilities
- Enhance relations with the workers and staff members by communicating effectively with them and encouraging them to develop themselves, thus facilitating better teamwork.
- Use good judgment while taking important decisions and to ensure that all the rules and regulations are followed and to give instructions regarding their work procedures.
- Delegate and assign the work as per priority and ensure that each worker performs his/her duties as per the required standards in terms of quality and quantity.
- Ensure that every worker adheres to the company's rules, policies, and regulations and that he/she is warned if any misbehavior is observed within the company.
- Monitor and review the work of the workers and provide recommendations to improve the quality and quantity of work done.
- Implement and modify the work plans as per the changing situation and promote the health, safety, and wellness of the staff members.
- Learn processes and equipment.
- Coordinate with schedulers and other supervisors.
- Will perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Applicants should be a business management major in their 2nd, 3rd or 4th year of college, with abilities in MS Office and other analytical and planning tools. They should possess strong analytic and statistical skills and have the ability to work independently.

Hours of work: 40-45 hrs. per week (Mon- Fri).
