Laboratory Technician

Performs laboratory tests to determine physical characteristics of materials for such purposes as quality control, process control or product development by performing essential duties and responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:   The following is a list of the most common duties and responsibilities of the role. It is not meant to be comprehensive, as there may be other duties and responsibilities as assigned. 

• Perform testing in accordance with relevant procedure(s) and/or specification(s).
• Follow and complete daily work assignments in conjunction with testing schedule.
• Have detailed understanding of test methods and specifications.
• Ability to perform basic calculations from tests.
• Ability to conduct assigned tests and procedures within lab.
• Must consistently follow all quality and safety procedures within lab.
• Maintain an orderly appearance of work area/space.
• Assist with sample preparation. 
• Assist with general laboratory organization and clean up.
• Organize and maintain chemical(s) and raw material(s) inventory.
• Consistently uphold on-time delivery of assignments/projects.
