Middle School Math Teacher

Open Position

The Weld Re-9 School District headquartered in Ault, Colorado has an open position at Highland Middle School for a Middle School Math Teacher.

Summary: Middle School Teachers are responsible for instructing students in grades 6-8. They create lesson plans and a well-rounded, comprehensive instructional program.
 
Primary Responsibilities:  
 

Plan and provide high quality instruction

Implementing curriculum and instructions that align to the Colorado Academic Standards

Monitor and evaluate student progress

Prepare educational records and reports

Analyze student data and differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs

Conduct classroom and standardized assessments to measure student growth

Teach extended learning opportunity mini-courses

Any and all other duties as assigned


Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a teaching certification is preferred, but not required.
  • Endorsement, certification, degree, passing PRAXIS score, or being highly qualified in area of instruction is preferred, but not required. Candidates with an Elementary Education (K-6) endorsement are encouraged to apply.
  • Candidates must possess or be able to obtain a Colorado Teaching License. The Weld Re-9 School District considers candidates pursuing alternative pathways to the classroom
  • Candidates must be knowledgeable in the field of instructional technology

Salary and Benefits:
Salary range is $48,000-$59,600 per year as of the time of this posting depending on education, years of teaching experience, and professional development credits. The salary schedule for the 2025-2026 school year is expected to be approved in late April 2025.
