Licensed Funeral Director- Arranger

What you’ll do:
- Arrange and conduct funeral and memorial ceremonies in a professional, organized, and caring manner in keeping with company policies and procedures.
- Educate and support families through service and merchandise options aligned with their wishes, traditions, and budget.
- Meet with families to plan and coordinate funeral and memorial services with compassion and professionalism.
- Build a strong relationship with the community through active involvement in area organizations and participation in charitable events.
- Promote and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Ensure adherence to all professional, state, and federal licensing authority, regulations, and rules applicable to funeral service.
Experience you need to bring:
- 2+ years of proven experience in making funeral arrangements with a family-first approach.
- Proficiency in using funeral management software is a plus!
- Compassionate, calm, and service-driven mindset.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
Educational Requirements:
- Degree from Accredited Mortuary Science Program plus additional college credits as required in the applicable state. In Minnesota you must have a bachelor’s degree (or credit equivalent).
- Successful completion of the National Board Examination
- Successful completion of the applicable State Board Examination
- Dual Licensure (Embalming and Funeral Director)
- Valid Funeral Director and Embalmer State Licensure
- Valid Driver’s License
At Vertin, we value transparency and equity in our hiring process. For this role, the salary range is $62,000-$80,000. Actual compensation will depend on a variety of factors, including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
