CreaTV Internship - Marketing and Digital Media

CreaTV Internship – Marketing and Digital Media (2 positions)

Summer 2025 – May 25th - Aug 2nd
Paid Stipend $4500 
In-person, on-site

 

Position 

Under the supervision of the Community Media Department and Marketing & Communications Manager, interns may work in a variety of capacities to support our summer programming, including our teen summer Filmmaking Bootcamp, and our teen Summer Documentary Institute. Interns will support in-person classroom time, mentor teen filmmakers, assist in marketing, and communit department maintenance tasks. For the Summer 2025 internship, most, if not all, activities will be conducted in-person. 

 

Typical Duties (may include, but are not limited to, the following) 

 

  • Engage directly with community members, 
  • Support teenage filmmaking bootcamp,
  • Assist and support teenage Summer Documentary Insittute,
  • Support filmmaking and documentary instruction, 
  • Documentation of programs including blog entries and member interviews, 
  • Assist in capturing and editing photos, videos, and interviews with participants,
  • Assist in creating social media graphics during DMM and SDI programs.
  • Provide support for events and tabling opportunities on weekends in San José,
  • Assist with creation of promotional and screening materials for each session,
  • Assist Marketing & Communications Manager with operational tasks such as data entry, updating excel sheets, etc. as needed, 
  • Assist with community department maintenance and organizational tasks, 
  • Work on group projects with other interns. 

 

Requirements

  • Priority will be given to those living in or attending school in San José, CA 
  • Must be able to operate camera and monitor audio during production and coordination to operate small push buttons and switches 
  • Available some evenings and weekends
  • Strong comfort level with technology and media 
  • Successfully work in a cooperative group environment 
  • Convey a warm and professional public manner 
  • Experience mentoring and/or working with children and teens 
  • Proficient in using Canva/Illustrator, Adobe Editing Suite, and MS Office (Word, Excel, Teams)
  • Successfully work in a cooperative group environment
  • Must be able to take directions and complete tasks within deadline
  • Must be organized and have a proactive approach to work
  • Must have a valid California driver’s license
