Biology Competition Instructor & Curriculum Teacher (USABO/BBO, A-Level/IB/AP/IGCSE)

 

Principal Responsibilities Include:

  1. Deliver instruction for biology competitions such as USABO (USA Biology Olympiad) and BBO (British Biology Olympiad).
  2. Teach biology courses within international curricula, including A-Level, IB, AP, and IGCSE.
  3. Conduct in-depth research and collaboration to refine teaching methodologies, develop course materials, and optimize lecture notes and resources.
  4. Stay updated with the latest exam trends, analyze question patterns, and produce exam guides and research-based educational articles.
  5. Maintain student progress records, design personalized tutoring plans, and deliver instruction both online and offline.

Basic Qualifications:

  1. Master’s degree or higher in Biology, Life Sciences, Education, or a related field.
  2. Minimum 1 year of experience teaching biology courses or preparing students for competitions.
  3. Proficient in both English and Mandarin (written and verbal), with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse cultural and geographical contexts.
  4. Strong communication, adaptability, logical reasoning, and interpersonal skills; charismatic and influential teaching style.
  5. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
  6. Detail-oriented, with excellent analytical and organizational capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Graduated from a top-tier university (QS World University Rankings top 200).
  2. Prior experience studying or teaching in an international school environment.
  3. Demonstrated passion for education, student-centered teaching philosophy, and ability to adapt instructional strategies based on student needs.
  4. Exceptional time management, self-discipline, and multitasking skills.
  5. Commitment to excellence in educational product development, embodying a craftsman spirit for creating high-quality teaching resources.
