Police Officer including lateral transfers

The City of New Hope, located 8 miles northwest of downtown Minneapolis, with a population of approximately 22,000, is recruiting for police officers who are committed to building relationships with and serving our community. Candidates must be team-oriented, passionate about serving others, and have very strong communication and interpersonal skills. The 2025 scale is $35.12 - $51.33/hour, with excellent benefits, including tuition reimbursement.

City leadership and residents are very supportive of law enforcement. The department operates from a very modern facility which opened in 2019 with excellent space to facilitate all aspects of policing and community engagement. Potential assignments include community relations, field training officer, investigator, K-9, SWAT, school resource officer, and a traffic unit.
