Marketing Coordinator II

The Marketing Coordinator II works in the Community Outreach Department under the supervision of the Manager/Director of Communications. The main responsibilities include:

  • Planning strategy and content for, posting to and monitoring CMH’s social media accounts
  • Producing radio ads and scheduling/coordinating local radio interviews for CMH topics/talent
  • Writing and editing copy for a variety of internal and external communications
  • Creating printed and digital content through graphic design

The following requirements are part of the Marketing Coordinator II responsibilities, though they may not be immediately applicable: 

  • Completing Return on Investment (ROI) research project for CMH digital marketing efforts
  • Co-hosting CMH podcast (Hands on Health) and coordinating interviews, writing questions and scheduling participants/episodes

Knowledge of/Skill/Ability to:
Ability to complete a high volume of editorial and graphic design work requiring multitasking and prioritization within an approved budget and timeline. Ability to research and write for a variety of audiences in a variety of formats. Ability to work with other creative professionals and vendors to produce desired results. Ability to develop and maintain positive internal and external customer relationships. Ability to work with confidential information, law enforcement and security issues. Ability to work independently, using initiative and good judgment. Ability to work with diverse individuals. Work well in a team environment and can resolve conflicts with professionalism and tact. Meticulous attention to detail.

License/Certification
N/A

Education and/or Experience
Undergraduate degree in related field, such as journalism, communications, marketing or graphic design or equivalent years of related marketing and communications experience substituted in lieu of a degree. At least three years of experience in media relations, journalism and/or marketing and at least three years of experience in graphic design preferred. Experience with AP Style and Adobe Creative Suite preferred. Familiarity with social media and email marketing software preferred. Experience with large complex organizations, nonprofits and/or health care desired. 
 
Physical Demands and Work Environment Conditions / ADA Compliance
Position involves standing, walking, stooping, and occasional carrying and lifting of lightweight materials (up to 20 pounds). May be required to sit for extended periods of time. Requires visual acuity and depth perception to recognize words and numbers; and hand and finger dexterity and hand/eye coordination to use a computer keyboard and common office equipment.
