Job Description
The AmeriCorps member will support The Mediation Center’s Community Mediation services. After training, the member will mediate cases for community members, local agencies, and individuals involved in criminal district court cases. In addition, the AmeriCorps member will all aspects of case management: conducting new client intake, scheduling meetings, and coordinating mediation logistics.

Service Description: Community mediation provides an opportunity for people in conflict to have difficult conversations with the help of non-judgmental mediators. Mediation allows everyone involved to talk about their experiences, be heard by each other, and establish a plan on how to move forward productively. District criminal court mediation uses this same mediation process to help individuals involved in district criminal court cases work through their conflicts outside of court.
