Market Research Analyst
Fieldpiece is hiring a highly passionate and inquisitive Market Research Analyst with expertise in a wide variety of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on uncovering deep customer insights, making sense of complex data, and transforming research into actionable business strategies. You will play a key role in identifying customer needs, framing problems, and delivering impactful recommendations to drive growth and innovation. You will work across the full product development lifecycle from innovation/pre-concept through the product development process.
For every market research project, you will identify the objectives and key decisions desired, perform the research, and deliver conclusions and recommendations to the team. While the position is primarily remote, the position requires up to 20% travel including customer visits and company meetings, to support team collaboration and foster stronger connections. What You’ll Do
- Identify key problems that need to be solved with data and research, ensuring alignment with company objectives
- Design and execute qualitative and quantitative research to understand customer motivations and decision-making processes, market trends, and competitive environment
- Conduct in-depth interviews, surveys, and data analysis to uncover actionable insights
- Develop segmentation strategies based on customer needs and behaviors
- Synthesize research findings into compelling narratives that inform product development, marketing strategies, and business decisions
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, and strategy teams to drive data-informed decisions
- Utilize a mix of quantitative and qualitative methodologies to validate hypotheses and measure the impact of recommendations
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging research methodologies, AI, and best practices in Jobs To Be Done.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Market Research, Business Analytics, Marketing, Business Administration, Psychology, Anthropology, Social Sciences, Statistics, Economics or a related field
- 1+ years of experience in the latest research techniques to obtain customer insights with a strong focus on internal planning and execution
- Expertise in qualitative interviewing, focus-group moderation, survey design, and data analytics
- Proficiency in research tools such as SPSS, MiniTab, Qualtrics, or similar platforms
- Internally motivated, self-starter who continuously strives to get things done well, regardless of challenges encountered. Proactive and keeps an eye on the next steps.
- Clearly demonstrated success in drawing out, synthesizing, and connecting insights to inform marketing and go-to-market strategy.
- Excellent storytelling and communication skills to translate insights into clear recommendations
- Strong stakeholder communication, presence, and relationship management skills, including ability to facilitate meetings to successful outcomes
- Ability to make sense of large data sets and extract meaningful insights
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and business acumen
- Tenacity and curiosity to dig deeper into customer behavior and market dynamics
- Nice to have experience with Jobs To Be Done Research Methodology
- Ability to travel up to 20%
