The Sauk Rapids-Rice School District No. 47 is currently seeking an outstanding and innovative individual to serve as the Director of Early Childhood.  The Director will provide oversight and leadership for Early Childhood Family Education programs in the District.  Responsibilities include providing quality programming to District families, managing program scheduling, budgets, and staff, as well as managing building facilities.

Located in Sauk Rapids, Minnesota, minutes from downtown St. Cloud and approximately one hour Northwest of the Twin Cities, ISD 47 is a growing school district that provides quality programming for more than 4,400+ students by approximately 630+ staff members.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Develop, implement, and administer quality programming based on the needs of the Community and District.

- Set clear goals that support and enrich school, district, and community stakeholders.

- Provide direction and support for Early Childhood staff.

- Coordinate services between the District and outside organizations and/or agencies.

- Effectively communicate with local community groups, businesses, and non-public educational institutions.

- Administer facility use.

- Create a positive school and community climate to establish a thriving learning culture.

- Operate and manage systems and programming, which positively impact children and families in the community.

- Build leadership, shared understanding, and unity among staff and families.

- Develop racial, cultural, socio-economic and educational competencies that transcend differences.

- Ensure the mission and strategic plan of the District are developed and implemented successfully.

- Communicate regularly with the Board of Education, Superintendent, and administration regarding Early Childhood Family Education-related needs, effectiveness, and impact.

- Prepare and present reports regarding participation, revenue, success, and programmatic needs.

- Supervise, assess, and coordinate staff.

 
Outstanding candidates will be:
- Able to demonstrate a successful record of leadership and organizational experience working with early childhood programming to align with District established policies, vision, and goals.

- Able to represent the District in a professional manner, while promoting and publicizing existing and upcoming early childhood programming.

- Skilled at monitoring and soliciting input from stakeholders regarding program operations with respect to community needs, interests, participation and resources.

- Genuinely interested in learning about the Sauk Rapids-Rice School District and communities, as well as willing to participate in civic and community affairs that help foster understanding to gain support of the overall school district mission, vision, and strategic plan.

- Thoughtful and deliberate decision-makers.

- Creative problem solvers with extraordinary relationship and conflict resolution skills.

- Innovative and able to promote and implement quality programs.

- Skilled in program development, implementation, evaluation, fiscal management, supervision of personnel and decision making.

- Experienced with successful marketing plans and public relation efforts to continue to build on existing community education programs and offerings.

- Collaborative with staff, District leaders, community members and representatives from various community agencies to deliver educational, and socio-economic services to all members of the community.

- Effective with establishing, developing, and fostering ongoing cooperative working relationships with local community groups, businesses, non-public educational institutions, and youth service organizations.

- Highly organized.

- Able to manage multiple projects, while adhering to strict deadlines.

- Effective communicator.                            


Required Qualifications:

- Three (3) years teaching or relevant professional school experience
- Leadership experience at the principal or director level

- Valid Minnesota teaching license 

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelors or masters degree in early childhood, special education, educational leadership, or related field

- Valid Minnesota administrator license
- Minimum of three (3) years of administrative experience

- Strong background in education, technology, and planning

  
Contract:

215 days from July 1 through June 30, starting July 1, 2025.

Salary and Benefits:
Salary starting at $90,000 up to $120,000.

Benefits based on full-time employment and may be pro-rated for part-time positions.  Benefits may include the following:
