Content Internship (unpaid)

Gain valuable experience in the publishing industry, including learning about the magazine production process, content creation, social media, public relations and more, with a content internship with the North American Hardware and Paint Association (NHPA). 

Proposed intern schedule: 2 days a week (Wednesday and Thursday) 10 am to 3 pm

May 28 through July 24

Intern manager: Lindsey Thompson

Projects the intern would assist with:

  • Researching, writing and editing news, short feature and trends stories
  • Outreach to various sources
  • Shadow and assist in a magazine production cycle to learn best practices and processes
  • Editing, lots of editing

Qualifications:

  • Completed at least one higher education classes in communications, journalism, English or related courses.
  • Willingness to work hard.
  • Desire to learn in a fast-paced environment.
