Accounting Assistant

Job Title: Accounting Assistant
Department: Administration
Reports To: CFO, Senior Accountant
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

 


Job Summary

 

Support the accounting department by performing clerical tasks, data entry, processing, and recording transactions, preparing reports, and fielding communications with customers and vendors. You should be thorough, accurate, and honest with good data entry skills.

 

General Accountabilities

  • Sort, match, and file vendor invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documents.
  • Verify vendor invoices for accuracy and enter invoices in accounting system.
  • Issue vendor payments.
  • Process customer payments.
  • Assists in financial audits of company accounts.
  • Prepares daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.  

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum Education: Associates's Degree
  • Preferred Education:      Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum Experience: 3-5 years in a manufacturing industrial setting. 
  • Preferred Experience: 5-7 years in a manufacturing industrial setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
