Representative Payee Coordinator

The Representative Payee Accounts Payable Coordinator is responsible for paying bills for representative payee clients and coordinating payments with program staff for rep payee clients.
In person 3 days per week Monday through Friday 8:30-5pm, first 90 days of training will be fully onsite.
Minimum Education Required
High School Diploma/GED
Responsibilities
- Maintains bank balances for checking and savings accounts for more than 350 clients.
- Imports auto deposits for the representative payee accounts.
- Issues checks and prepares direct deposits for consumer expenses against representative payee accounts.
- Maintains a file for each representative payee account.
- Produces a list of account balances for all representative payee accounts on a monthly basis for program management.
- Handles all emergency check requests from programs.
- Processes SSA applications and closely monitors status with follow up as needed.
- Prepares yearly Representative Payee Reports for the Social Security Administration.
- Attends and actively participates in supervision and staff meetings.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; some college preferred.
- 2-3 years Accounts Payable/Representative Payee experience required.
- Strongly prefer that a candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations
- Must have good Excel and computer skills.
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Familiarity with software including Microsoft applications.
- Ability to communicate effectively and knowledgeably with staff and outside constituencies.
- Must be organized and willing to learn and take initiative.
- High energy level, superior interpersonal skills and ability to function in a team environment.
