Community Intern

Job Title: Community Intern

Our platform innovates the fan experience, allows fans to interact and engage with their favorite artists, and offers an e-commerce shopping experience to purchase merchandise and products through the app. 

 

Established in 2022 and headquartered in Santa Monica, CA, Weverse America is a fast-growing entertainment platform that connects fans with distinguished global artist labels.

 

Weverse America Inc. is seeking passionate individuals to join our team as Community Interns. The internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and insights into various music and entertainment industry facets. 

 

This is a paid position from June to August (approximately 10 weeks). It is not available for college credit. 

 

Applicants are highly recommended to submit a sample of work or a project related to the music industry as part of the application process.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Become familiar with the Weverse platform and the different music markets (i.e. North America, Asia, Latin America, etc.)
  • Conduct market research on emerging artists, fandoms, trends, and opportunities within the music and entertainment industry
  • Pitch creative ideas and strategies for engaging with audiences to drive growth in targeted music markets and specific artists
  • Ideate and develop online/offline marketing materials
  • Monitor social media trends and audience feedback to recommend content strategies
  • Assist in facilitating fan events for artists on Weverse
  • General administrative tasks for the Community Team

 

Qualifications:

  • You must be a rising Junior or Senior currently enrolled in a 4-year university (enrollment verification required), or a recent graduate
  • You have availability of 15-20 hours per week
  • Must be available to commute to our office in Santa Monica on Tuesdays & Thursdays
  • You have a passion for music, fandoms, and music tech, and have an understanding of how your peers discover and consume music
  • You have an understanding of social media marketing, you stay current on trends, and you have an active presence creating content on TikTok, Instagram, X, Facebook
  • You are a strong & detailed communicator and a collaborative team player
  • You have a flexible schedule for collaborating and participating in team conference calls and fan events
  • A background in design is a plus but not required
  • Bilingual in Spanish or Korean is a great bonus!
