Mission of the Position: We are seeking a passionate and motivated intern to join our team as an Education Program Assistant. This is a paid internship opportunity, ideal for a candidate who is currently in their senior year of college or in graduate school and is interested in pursuing a career in education, particularly with high school students. The position involves significant student-facing interactions and will be responsible for delivering informational presentations and conducting training sessions that will empower and engage students in various educational topics. This internship offers a unique chance to gain hands-on experience in education and the possibility to transition into a full-time role upon successful completion. You’ll work closely with a dedicated team, develop key communication and presentation skills, and make a meaningful impact on students’ learning experiences.
Key Criteria/Requirements - The Education Program Assistant will assist in the development and delivery of Pioneer research mentorship presentations, workshops, and training sessions. This role will assist in providing guidance on academic pathways, career development, and personal growth. The Education Program Assistant will engage directly with students through one-on-one support, group interactions, and workshops. This role will collaborate with the Scholar Success team to create and implement effective strategies for student engagement and success. The Education Program Assistant will provide administrative support related to program logistics, scheduling, and follow-up communications. Collect feedback from students and use it to improve future educational sessions and programs that will contribute to the creation of educational materials, including presentations, handouts, and digital resources.
- Currently enrolled in a college or graduate program (preferably in Education, Research, Learning & Development, or related fields).
- Strong interest in education and working with high school students.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven experience presenting and leading group discussions or training sessions.
- Organized, proactive, and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Enthusiastic about making a positive impact on students' academic journeys.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Previous experience in teaching, tutoring, or working with high school students is a plus.
- MUST be able to commute to the Jenkintown office
