Motion Animation Design Intern
Motion Animation Design Intern
We’re looking for a Motion Intern who can bring shapes, characters, and visual ideas to life.
You’re someone who loves movement as much as composition — a frame-sensitive thinker who knows how to guide the eye and elevate still visuals through rhythm, detail, and charm.
Our brand voice is visual, vector-based, and emotionally expressive, and motion plays a big part. You’ll help us create motion assets that move with intention, stay on brand, and surprise in all the right ways.
✦ What You’ll Do
- Animate vector-based illustrations (characters, icons, and other brand visuals) using After Effects
- Occasionally, illustrate motion-ready assets like icons, spot illustrations, or transitions
- Collaborate closely with the team to ensure motion aligns with the overall brand aesthetic
- Propose and explore ideas for animated elements across social media, app UI, and other touchpoints
- Prepare motion content for social posts — including Reels, animated Stories, and carousel slides
✦ You Might Be a Great Fit If:
- You’re fluent in After Effects and Illustrator
- You have a clean and expressive animation style — and can bring still objects to life
- You’re thoughtful about pacing, detail, and smoothness
- You can illustrate simple, motion-friendly assets when needed
- You’re comfortable working remotely, taking feedback, and iterating with clarity
- Figma experience is a huge plus
✦ Details
- Remote, part-time (10–15 hours/week during the semester)
- Opportunity for long-term paid roles
- Weekly team meetings + creative check-ins
- You’ll receive ongoing mentorship and feedback to develop both your animation and design judgment
- Gain real-world motion experience across brand, product, and campaign contexts
- Work closely with a small team that values clarity, aesthetics, and emotional resonance
✦ How to Apply
Please send us:
- Your motion portfolio or reel
- A short note about why you’re interested
- A brand or motion studio you admire, and what you love about their work
