Business Development Representative

Position Title: Business Development Representative 

Location: Chardon OH

Reports To: Region Sales Director 

Position Type: Full-Time  

 

POSITION SUMMARY  

The BDR is responsible for creating awareness of ISSQUARED’s products and services to potential clients that align with the company’s ideal client profile. This role involves generating qualified leads and setting up appointments for Account Executives through a multi-channel outreach approach including phone, email, social media, and networking websites. 

 

POSITION OBJECTIVE  

The BDR will play a crucial role in driving growth of ISSQUARED by identifying and engaging potential clients, generating interest in the company’s offerings, and securing appointments for the sales team. This high-activity position requires a proactive and persistent approach to outreach and lead generation. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create awareness of ISSQUARED’s products and services by reaching out to companies that fit the ideal client profile. 
  • Conduct multi-channel outreach using phone, email, social media platforms (such as LinkedIn), networking websites, and other tools to engage with potential prospects. 
  • Generate and qualify leads, ensure they meet the criteria for a potential sales opportunity. 
  • Schedule qualified appointments for Account Executives with potential clients. 
  • Be a super user of CRM systems, lead generation tools like ZoomInfo, and email/SMS sequencing software to manage and track outreach activities. 
  • Maintain hi level daily activity, including cold calls, emails, and social media interactions. 
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to refine outreach strategies and messaging. 
  • Continuously research and stay updated on industry trends, target market dynamics, and competitive landscape. 
  • Keep records of all outreach activities, interactions, and lead progress in CRM system. 
  • Participate in training to improve product knowledge and sales techniques. 

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field. 
  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience in a sales or business development role, preferably in the technology or IT services industry. 

 

Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to engage/build rapport w/prospects. 
  • CRM and lead generation tools proficiency e.g., ZoomInfo, and email/SMS sequencing  
  • Manage a high volume of outreach activities, maintain a consistent level of productivity. 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently. 
  • Knowledge of social media platforms e.g., LinkedIn, for prospecting and outreach.
