Are you passionate about creativity, business and innovation? Join our dynamic Art & Innovation Studio as a Marketing & Communications Intern and immerse yourself in a diverse range of projects and collaborations! 

Responsibilities:

As a Marketing & Communications Intern, you will play a vital role in our team's success. Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Social Media Content Creation and Scheduling:

  • Develop engaging content for various social media platforms.
  • Schedule posts to ensure consistent and effective online presence.

Preparation of Newsletter Content:

  • Contribute to the creation of compelling content for newsletters.
  • Assist in the coordination and organization of newsletter distribution.

Editing of Videos and Podcasts:

  • Edit and enhance video and podcast content for optimal viewer/listener experience.
  • Collaborate with the team to maintain a high standard of production quality.

Creation of Graphics:

  • Design visually appealing graphics for social media, newsletters, and events.
  • Ensure brand consistency and creativity in all visual materials.

Research Trends and Best Practices:

  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in marketing and communications.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for optimizing our strategies.

Preferred Skills:

We are seeking candidates with the following skills or working knowledge:

  • Adobe Creative Suite
  • Canva
  • Google Office/Drive
  • Video/Audio Editing
  • Social Media Platforms

Qualifications:

  • Strong visual and verbal communication abilities
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Passion for creativity and its application in business
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Time commitment: 5-hours per week for 3 months.

Note: This remote work done on your own time but we often have projects happening in-person in Richmond that you could be involved with if you are interested.

If you are selected to interview we will ask you to send two work samples 

1) writing sample (blog post, article, school writing assignment essay or term paper)

2) a creative marketing/communication/design/art project personal or school is fine just something you think best represents you capabilities and interests.
