Administrative Assistant
Position Summary
Administrative Assistant in busy law office with primary responsibility to support attorneys and paralegals while performing various administrative tasks as it relates to litigation and non-litigation activities. If you are a high achiever, we are willing to train the right person.
Primary Responsibilities
- Answering phones and directing calls to the appropriate personnel
- Coordination and filing all daily correspondence, pleadings and other client documents
- Processing daily mail
- Preparation of routine correspondence
- Opening, maintaining and updating client files
- Preparation and organization of documents for non-litigation activities of counsel
- Calendaring deadlines and appointments
- General office and clerical duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications
- Eagerness and ability to learn and develop professionally
- Proven organization and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Keen eye for detail coupled with exceptional proofreading skills
- Working knowledge of computers and programs (Microsoft Office, Excel)
- Attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation
- Ability and desire to work in fast paced environment with minimal supervision
- Ability to professionally interact with law firm clients, other attorneys, judges, and anyone associated with a specific case

Educational Requirements and Compensation
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent administrative experience
- Desire to work in a legal office setting
- Full-time / non-exempt position with benefits; pay commensurate with experience and skills
- Final candidates are required to pass a pre-employment criminal background check
